Bahraini are open and friendly people. So when they provide you with a service, they do it wholeheartedly. If you feel pleased by what they offer, don’t hesitate to say “thank you” by offering a customary small tip. In restaurants and cafes you can offer between 10-15% or round up the bill amount and consider the change involved as a tip, depending on how well you’ve been served. For taxies, the tourists’ first concern should be to make sure the drivers turn on the meter. If they do so and the tourists have a pleasant ride, a 10% tip is the general norm. When it comes to Airport and Hotel Personnel, the customary tip is $1 - $2, whereas maids can be offered up to $5 per day. If you happen to go to the barber or beauty shop, 15% of the bill should be more than enough to keep everybody satisfied.
