CLOTHING & CLIMATE

WHAT TO WEAR

Bahraini are extremely open and very tolerant of other cultures, but they do appreciate some general guidelines when it comes to the dress code. As a thumb rule, advise your clients to have everything covered from their shoulders to their knees while in public. If they are visiting a more traditional, thus conservative area, tourists are kindly asked to wear long skirts or trousers.

CLIMATE

As for the weather, tourists should pack warmer clothes from December to March, as temperatures can vary between 17 and 20 degrees Celsius. In the rest of the year, the temperatures rise above 25 degrees Celsius, reaching even 35 degrees Celsius (95 Fahrenheit). Travellers should pack light clothes that also take into consideration the dress code mentioned above.

Broadly speaking, the climate of Bahrain is generally dry, but some rainfall can occur in winter. In summer, from April to November, due to the high humidity, temperatures rise up to even 35 degrees Celsius. For tourists who prefer a milder weather, the spring or summer might be better suited.
